This morning we were again visited by at least 30 black cockatoos. I managed to be awake enough to get a few shots, but this one gob-smacked me when I realised there was also a wattle bird defending its nest in the shot. She was willing to take on all comers by the look of it! Click to enlarge the picture and see how fast her wings are going.

Taking a break for a bit, I did intend to do a yearly one for download, but time is getting away from me. Brian Keats does a great calendar that I recommend. Google Brian Keats astro calendar should find the link. How are you keeping? Have you moved yet?
hi cosmic yes we have moved ,and we have so much more time now to actually do things,though still havent gotten back over your way as yet I will get brian keats one then ,yes you work hard so will do you good to have a break,your garden is looking good ,we have been fairly well slowly getting on top of it all ,this garden here was full of cypress and conifers so it seems like we are starting all over and its a big job ,keep well
